We are writing to re-issue a formal retraction regarding a comment in our most recent newsletter.
We incorrectly stated in the January 24, 2026, edition of the Conscience that the community's legal counsel violated legal ethics in sending one of the editors, Martin Schwartz, a recent legal letter. Upon further review, we found representation to be inaccurate, as Association counsel had not acted legally unethically. The reality is the community's legal counsel was unaware of the Martin Schwartz's retention of counsel until after the legal letter had been issued, and therefore no ethical violation occurred.
We sincerely apologize for any misstatement and appreciate you letting us set the record straight.
